Changes to our services

We are sorry to inform you that we are having to make changes to the way we practice. Over the last few years we have had a reduction in clinical staff due to doctors and nurse practitioners leaving and retiring. Despite much effort we have struggled to fill those posts and it means that we are having to do things differently.

We now have a pharmacy team who will deal with all medication queries, do medication reviews and manage some minor ailments. Our reception staff are actively signposting patients to more appropriate services as sometimes the problem can be managed differently and by other people/professionals.

Due to the reduction in staff we are having to change how we do home visits – we will continue to visit all registered bedbound patients if required and those receiving terminal palliative care. However, all others will be phoned first to see if the visit is required or if it can be managed differently. If you go to the shops, hairdressers or are elderly then you do not automatically qualify for a visit.

Please note all our clinical staff are highly qualified with one or more degrees, diplomas, specialist training and will try to help you with your health problems.
